Polling : Yes. A fax machine with this feature has the capacity to call for fax documents which may be stored in the sending slot (out-tray) of another fax machine. How it works? If you need to receive a fax from an external fax machine, your machine has the capacity to call for fax documents, which may be stored in the sending slot (out-tray) of the other fax machine. After both the machines have been set on the polling mode (by pressing the polling button), your machine calls the remote fax machines fax and then prints it out. Benefits: This is normally used when you have to receive documents from another machine, but at your own cost.
